Will Allen grew up believing he was a Christian. But he had a secret. All throughout his childhood, he fantasized about being a girl. Then, as an adult, he followed through with that desire and surgically altered his body to appear as a woman for 30 years... until Will realized that Christ had to be Lord of ALL of his life.
Excerpt from Will’s book “Not Man Enough to be a Woman” - Chapter 1:
Dad went off on a diatribe about his sisters and women in general and how strong they are, how caring and nurturing they are, how much they have to tolerate… basically how superior they are to men in many ways.
All things that were true, but at times, whenever he went off on tangents, my mind would wander occasionally, and this was no different.
That’s happened since childhood when I was being lectured, my head was down, I was lost in my own thoughts and just listening for my name or, “LOOK AT ME!”
He then looked right at me and said some words that got my attention.
I snapped out of my stupor as my brain tried to reassemble the words it just heard. What I concluded he said, honestly, made me want to chuckle and that obviously would not do at a time like this and might just earn me a punch in the mouth.
As I did my best to suppress the chuckle, I pondered what I think he just said – “You’re just not man enough to be a woman.”
