#105 The Wrecks That Changed Me - Brandon Hendriks
When Brandon Hendriks was just a punk rock kid from the Pacific Northwest, he had an encounter with God that opened up his eyes to his need for a Savior. But then 18 years later, Brandon was confronted with the greatest trial of his life where Christ showed Himself once again, in an entirely new way.
Screams erupted around him, and Brandon’s head snapped up.
Then, his heart stopped.
Followed by a thick tail of dust, a giant trophy truck roaring along the racing path of the Baja 500 had missed its sharp turn and was sliding wildly down the steep incline across the ravine, plowing over the Mexican desert scrub.
Brandon heard his wife Melissa scream ahead of him, their eight-year old son Xander’s hand still held in hers, and he clutched the handles of the stroller holding his youngest son.
The massive truck wheels quickly found grip on the ground and began barrelling back up the other side…
…straight toward Brandon and his family.
“God…help!”
The truck roared toward Brandon’s young family, enveloping them in the hot cloud of thick dust and smoke… the engine’s roaring drowned out the screams of the crowd… Brandon instinctively yanked back on the stroller, as giant wheels filled his vision…
Listen now to Brandon Hendriks share his
true story of heart transformation.
